A quick-hitting coastal storm delivered a generous amount of snow to parts of northern New England. With marginal temperatures, just a degree or two made all the difference in snow totals. Areas that hovered right around freezing picked up more than expected, with up to a foot being reported in places. Other areas stayed right around where we were expecting, just a couple inches.
